How to preserve your frozen food longer in a power failure

If you have a top loader freezer always top it of with ice. If you have a vertical freezer with a door, make extra large ice cubes in Tupperware containers and fill the door with the ice cubes. After a power failure you food should stay good for 2-3 days if you don’t open it much (same goes for your refrigerator), adding the ice cubes wins you another 2-3 days, keeping your food frozen for up to one week without power!

MAKE SURE to put the ice cubes in 1 gallong ziplocks to prevent a mess and electrical shock when they start melting and the power comes back on!
